Toyota Land Cruiser A/C Not Cold Malaysia
A large cabin with dual-zone A/C puts heavy load on the system. Low refrigerant and evaporator mould are the top causes.
Land Cruiser A/C issues are rare given the quality build, but the large cabin volume means the system works harder than in smaller vehicles. At our Bandar Sri Damansara workshop, the most common A/C complaint is weak rear cooling.
Common A/C Issues
- Refrigerant top-up (R134a): RM 80–150 — check for leaks before refilling
- Condenser cleaning: RM 80–120 — crucial for full-size SUV with large condenser
- Front compressor replacement: RM 1,200–2,000 — Denso OEM unit for best reliability
