Innova 1GD-FTV 2.8L uses 5W-30 DL-1/C3 full synthetic, 7.0L capacity. Petrol 1TR-FE uses 5W-30 SN, 5.0L. Never use mineral oil on the diesel turbo.
Innova 1GD-FTV Engine Oil Specification
Innova AN140 2.8L 1GD-FTV: 5W-30 API CJ-4 / ACEA C3 / Toyota DL-1 full synthetic, 7.0L with filter. The petrol variants (2.0L 1TR-FE, 2.7L 2TR-FE) use 5W-30 SN, 5.0L and 5.3L respectively. Never use non-diesel-rated oil on the 1GD-FTV — the DPF compatibility requirement (low-SAPS formulation) is critical. Using standard SN oil in a diesel engine can poison the DPF over time.
