Innova 1GD-FTV diesel runs hot — use Toyota SLLC pink coolant. Change every 4 years or 80,000 km. Never mix with generic green coolant.
Innova Coolant — Toyota SLLC Only
Use Toyota Super Long Life Coolant (SLLC), pink formulation. The 1GD-FTV diesel generates significant heat — the coolant also protects the intercooler hoses and water pump from corrosion. Change every 4 years or 80,000 km (whichever comes first). Never use green generic coolant as it's incompatible with Toyota's OAT (Organic Acid Technology) formula and causes internal corrosion. Capacity: approximately 8.5L. Flushing and refill cost: RM 150–250 at our Bandar Sri Damansara workshop.
