Pre-Purchase Checklist
- Toyota Techstream scan: check for hybrid fault codes (P3000, P0A93), CVT codes, and ABS/VSC faults
- Panoramic roof test: open/close fully; listen for grinding; check all four drain channels for blockage
- Hybrid battery: review SOC (state of charge) on Techstream — all cells should be within 0.1V of each other
- CVT test drive: no shudder at 40–80 km/h; smooth acceleration from stop — if shudder exists, factor RM 280–380 CVT fluid change
- Check under engine and CVT for fresh oil or CVT fluid traces — any active leak is a negotiation point
- Interior: smell for mould (air quality tells you about A/C maintenance history) — mouldy smell = evaporator cleaning needed: RM 350–550
