Toyota Harrier CVT & e-CVT Fluid Guide Malaysia

Harrier 2.0L petrol uses a Direct Shift CVT — Toyota's latest CVT generation with a physical gear for low-speed launch. This requires Toyota CVTF FE fluid. The 2.5L hybrid uses an e-CVT (no belt) with its own transmission fluid.
CVT Fluid Service
- Direct Shift CVT fluid change: RM 280–380 — Toyota CVTF FE only, every 60,000 km
- e-CVT fluid (hybrid): check at 60,000 km, replace at 80,000 km — different spec from petrol CVT fluid
- Never use generic CVT fluid — the Direct Shift mechanism requires precise fluid properties
