Harrier 2.0L petrol has a traditional belt-driven alternator (~130A); 2.5L hybrid replaces it with a DC-DC converter. For the petrol, inspect the alternator at 100,000 km. For the hybrid, the DC-DC converter rarely fails.

- Petrol alternator replacement (OEM Denso): RM 900–1,500 installed
- Serpentine belt (drives alternator on petrol): inspect every 40,000 km, replace at 80,000 km — RM 80–150
