Toyota Harrier A/C Not Cold Malaysia
Dual-zone A/C means more possible fault locations. Refrigerant, evaporator mould and damper door failure are top causes.
Harrier's dual-zone A/C (front + rear optional) works hard in Malaysia. The 2.5L hybrid uses an electric compressor (works in EV mode too). Common causes of weak cooling: low refrigerant, dirty cabin filter, blocked condenser.
A/C Service
- Cabin filter change: RM 50–90 — do this first before any A/C gas top-up
- Refrigerant top-up (R134a): RM 80–150 — check for leaks; don't keep topping up without fixing the leak
- Condenser cleaning: RM 80–120 — the panoramic roof reduces airflow to the condenser on some Harrier variants
