Toyota Corolla Cross Oil Leak — Common Spots Malaysia

Oil leaks on the Corolla Cross are uncommon before 100,000 km when oil changes are performed on schedule. The most vulnerable points are the valve cover gasket and crankshaft seals.
Common Leak Points
- Valve cover gasket — first leak point, especially after 100,000 km (RM 200–350 to fix)
- Crankshaft front oil seal — seeps at high mileage (RM 300–500)
- Camshaft seal — small drip near timing chain cover (RM 250–400)
When to Act
Small seeping that leaves an oil smell but no drips on the ground: monitor every 5,000 km. Active drip that creates a spot on the ground: fix within 1–2 oil change cycles. Oil pooling under the car: fix immediately.
