Toyota Corolla Cross Battery Replacement Malaysia (Petrol & Hybrid)
Petrol uses S55D23R; hybrid has an additional 12V auxiliary battery. Dead 12V stops the hybrid system from starting.
Corolla Cross has two battery systems: the 12V auxiliary battery and the high-voltage NiMH hybrid battery. Both can fail independently — and the 12V failing prevents the entire car from starting.
12V Auxiliary Battery
Located in the boot area on most Corolla Cross units. Replace every 3–4 years in Malaysia. Spec: 46B24R or S55D23R. A weak 12V shows as delayed hybrid system ready light, dim displays or complete failure to start. Cost: RM 280–420 installed.
