Subaru Levorg Spark Plug Replacement Malaysia
The CB18 1.8T engine uses four iridium spark plugs. As a turbocharged engine, it places more demand on spark plugs than a naturally aspirated unit, so replacement is recommended at 40,000–60,000 km rather than the longer intervals seen on NA boxer engines. Worn plugs on a turbo engine can cause misfires, rough idling, reduced power, or increased fuel consumption. Using the correct OEM-specification iridium plugs is important for the CB18's ignition timing requirements.

Subaru Levorg Spark Plugs
- Levorg FA20DIT spark plugs: iridium; replace every 60,000 km — same as WRX; turbo direct injection wears plugs faster than NA; do not extend to 100,000 km on FA20DIT
- Levorg plug heat range: stock OEM NGK is correct; if ECU tune adds more boost, consult tuner for correct heat range; FA20DIT Levorg engine bay is hot due to turbo and compact wagon packaging
- Levorg family wagon plug diagnosis: Levorg family wagon owners may not notice rough idle as easily as sports car owners; check plugs at every 60,000 km service even if no symptoms — misfires at highway speed are dangerous with loaded wagon
- Levorg carbon buildup vs spark plugs: FA20DIT direct injection builds carbon on intake valves; carbon causes rough idle that mimics bad plugs — diagnose correctly; do not replace plugs for a carbon-buildup symptom
