The CB18 1.8T boxer turbo engine requires 0W-20 fully synthetic engine oil meeting API SP or Subaru's own specification. Total capacity is approximately 4.8 litres including the filter. Oil changes should be done every 10,000 km; given the turbo, using a high-quality oil is especially important. Always allow the engine to warm up before hard driving, and after hard driving let it idle for a minute or two so the turbocharger can cool down before switching off.
