Subaru Levorg Check Engine Light Malaysia
A check engine light (CEL) on the Levorg VN can be triggered by a wide range of faults, from a loose fuel cap to a misfire, oxygen sensor fault, or boost pressure issue on the CB18 turbo. Because the Levorg uses Subaru's multi-system ECU architecture, a proper diagnostic with a Subaru SSM tool is the only way to identify the root cause accurately. Do not ignore a flashing CEL — a rapidly flashing light indicates a serious active misfire that can damage the catalytic converter and should prompt an immediate workshop visit.

Subaru Levorg Check Engine Light
- Levorg FA20DIT CEL: same FA20DIT codes as WRX — P0011/P0012 VVT, P0087 fuel pressure, EVAP codes; Levorg gentle driving means fewer boost-related faults than WRX; but age-related O2 sensor and EVAP codes appear the same
- Levorg EyeSight and CEL: Levorg EyeSight generates its own fault codes (not CEL); if EyeSight unavailable indicator on cluster — EyeSight camera or calibration fault, not engine fault; CEL = engine/emissions; EyeSight = ADAS system; both need SSM4 for Subaru-specific codes
- Levorg family CEL priority: if CEL lights up on family vehicle — attend to it within one week; steady CEL = non-urgent but do not delay beyond 2 service intervals; flashing CEL = stop and investigate same day
