Forester Puspakom requirement: cars over 5 years old require Puspakom B2 inspection before JPJ road tax renewal every 2 years; Puspakom B2 checks: lights, brakes, tyres, suspension, steering, body condition, emissions, safety features
Forester Puspakom preparation: before inspection — check all lights (headlights, brake lights, reversing light, indicators), check tyre tread depth minimum 1.6 mm, confirm all 4 tyres same size (critical for AWD), ensure CEL is off, ensure ABS light is off
Forester AWD and Puspakom: Puspakom rollers test braking — Forester AWD can confuse basic roller brake testers designed for 2WD cars; inform Puspakom inspector of AWD system; some centres have AWD mode; do not apply full brakes during roll test until instructed
