Nissan Kicks CVT Fluid & e-Power Drive Unit Malaysia
Standard Kicks: Xtronic CVT uses Nissan NS-3 fluid — change every 40,000 km, never substitute with generic ATF. Symptoms of neglected CVT: shudder at low speed, hesitation on acceleration, whine under load. e-Power: no traditional CVT or automatic gearbox — the EM47 electric motor drives the wheels directly through a reduction gear. The electric drive unit has its own gear oil; check the Nissan service manual for the specified interval (typically inspect at 60,000 km). Do not apply CVT fluid service recommendations to e-Power drive unit.
Kicks e-Power — No CVT
The Kicks e-Power is a series hybrid with no conventional transmission — there is no CVT or automatic gearbox. The electric motor drives the wheels directly through a fixed reduction gear. There is no transmission fluid to change. The inverter cooling loop uses a separate coolant circuit that should be checked every 40,000 km for level and condition.
