Buying a Used Mitsubishi Xpander Malaysia — Checklist
8 key checks: (1) Cold start idle — smooth or rough? Rough = throttle body or timing chain. (2) ATF colour — brown/dark = neglected, walk away. (3) Drive all gears 1–4 — hesitation or clunk between shifts. (4) Engine mount — with engine running, gently rev and release; excess movement = worn mount. (5) All 7 seats and seatbelts functional. (6) A/C cooling test — all rows. (7) OBD scan for AT codes. (8) Check under car for oil stains and suspension condition.

- Rear suspension: push rear corners down and listen for knocking
- 7-seat check: all seat mechanisms and seatbelts functional
- A/C rear cooling: check rear vents for cold air flow
