Mitsubishi Xpander ATF Malaysia — 4-Speed AT Service
Xpander uses a 4-speed Invecs-III automatic — use Mitsubishi ATF SP-III or equivalent Dexron III/VI. Change every 40,000 km. Signs of neglected ATF: hesitation shifting from 1st to 2nd, slight shudder at low speed, delayed engagement when selecting Drive. The 4-speed AT is simple and forgiving compared to a CVT, but neglecting ATF still causes shift quality deterioration. Always drain-and-fill; do not flush aggressively on high-mileage units.
Xpander CVT Fluid
- Use Mitsubishi CVTF-J4 or equivalent rated fluid only
- Change every 40,000 km — drain-and-fill (not top-up)
- Do not use Honda CVT fluid or Nissan NS-3 as substitute
