Most Xpander variants use Electric Power Steering (EPS) — no fluid required. EPS failure symptoms: heavy steering, P0562 or C1513 codes, EPS warning light on dashboard. EPS motor or control module failure is uncommon before 100,000 km. Some base variants may have hydraulic PS — check for PS fluid reservoir under the bonnet. If EPS column develops intermittent heaviness, check the EPS motor connector for corrosion first.
