Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Workshop Cases Malaysia — 4M Car Care
Real Pajero Sport cases at 4M Car Care: (1) QE Pajero Sport 88,000 km — DPF warning light P2002, owner had been driving mostly city KL routes for 2 years since purchase. Performed full MUT-III forced DPF regeneration at workshop (passive regeneration no longer effective). Advised owner to schedule a 40+ minute highway drive monthly; DPF cleared and has not recurred. (2) QF Pajero Sport 62,000 km — fuel filter overdue (last changed at 15,000 km), owner noted hard start on cold mornings. Fuel filter replaced and water separator drained (had accumulated significant water). Cold start immediately improved. (3) QE Pajero Sport 4WD 105,000 km — Super Select 4WD would not engage into 4HLc or 4LLc modes. MUT-III scan found 4WD actuator fault code; transfer case oil was found to be dark and contaminated (never changed). Transfer case oil service performed and actuator electrical connector cleaned; 4WD function restored. (4) QF Pajero Sport 78,000 km — minor oil seep from rocker cover gasket found during routine oil service inspection. Gasket replaced proactively before seep worsened; owner also had throttle body and EGR intake passage cleaned at the same visit.
Pajero Sport Turbo VG + DPF Service — Kepong
A 2018 Pajero Sport 4N16 at 87,000 km came in with noticeable turbo lag below 2,000 RPM and a DPF warning light. OBD confirmed DPF blockage above 85%. The variable geometry vanes were carbon-fouled and sluggish. Work done: turbo off-vehicle cleaning (VG actuator freed and calibrated), DPF chemical cleaning on-vehicle, diesel oil change (5W-30 C3), fuel filter, and air filter. Post-service, turbo response improved significantly and DPF counter reset to healthy levels.
