Mercedes-Benz S-Class Service Schedule Malaysia — W222/W223
S-Class uses ASSYST Plus with extended intervals for its large-capacity engines. MB 229.6 (0W-20) oil for W223, MB 229.51 (5W-30) for W222. ATF every 40,000 km. Full schedule for Malaysian owners.
S-Class W222/W223 uses ASSYST Plus. Service A and B are defined the same way as all other modern Mercedes. In Malaysian conditions, do not exceed 10,000 km between oil changes for the V8 engines — large displacement engines with high thermal cycles degrade oil faster than smaller units.
Every 10,000 km (S-Class V8 recommendation)
- Engine oil + filter — do not exceed this in Malaysian urban stop-go conditions
- Check AIRMATIC system: listen for compressor run time, check height at all four corners
Every 20,000–30,000 km
- Air filter, both cabin filters, brake fluid check
- 9G-Tronic ATF condition check — flush if dark or smells burnt
- AIRMATIC air dryer inspection
Every 40,000–60,000 km
- Spark plugs (6 or 8 iridium depending on engine)
- 9G-Tronic ATF flush (MB 236.15)
- Brake fluid flush
- Full AIRMATIC health check: compressor output pressure, air spring leak test
