Mercedes-Benz E-Class Suspension Service Malaysia — AIRMATIC & Passive
W212 is available with AIRMATIC air suspension; W213 standard suspension uses a multi-link setup. AIRMATIC compressor and strut replacement is costly — early diagnosis saves money. Costs in Malaysia.

The E-Class suspension comes in two forms: conventional multi-link (E200/E250) and AIRMATIC with air springs (most E300/E350 and many W213 variants). These require very different maintenance approaches.
AIRMATIC — critical Malaysian check
AIRMATIC air springs on the E-Class deteriorate faster in Malaysia than in Europe due to UV exposure and heat cycling. Always check AIRMATIC cars overnight — park the car and check ride height the next morning. Any corner that has dropped more than 2–3 cm has a leaking air spring.
Cost per air spring: RM 1,800–3,500 at 4M Car Care. Running on a leaking AIRMATIC strut for extended periods accelerates wear on the compressor and can damage the body control module.
Non-AIRMATIC (conventional) suspension costs
- Shock absorbers (per pair): RM 700–1,500
- Front lower control arm with bushing: RM 450–850 per side
- Sway bar links: RM 150–300 per side
