Case 1 — W212 E350, 110,000 km: Deep knock on cold start
A deep, rhythmic knock present at all temperatures. XENTRY confirmed timing correlation fault. Inspection revealed M272 balance shaft sprocket had partially stripped teeth. Full balance shaft repair with OEM Iwis sprocket and chain kit completed. Engine ran silently after. Total cost: RM 5,800 including post-repair oil change.
Case 2 — W213 E200, 72,000 km: AIRMATIC warning, left front sinking overnight
Owner noticed front-left corner sinking overnight — confirmed by XENTRY as left front air spring pressure loss. UV-degraded rubber membrane confirmed on inspection. Arnott aftermarket replacement spring fitted at 30% below OEM cost. Ride height fully restored. Total cost: RM 2,100.
Case 3 — W213 E300, 58,000 km: 9G-Tronic judder — ATF never changed
