Correct tyre sizes by model year
- W204 C200/C250 (standard): 225/45R17 front and rear
- W205 C200/C300 (18-inch): 225/45R17 or 245/40R18
- W205 AMG Line / C43: 225/40R18 front, 255/35R18 rear
- W206 C200/C300 (standard): 225/45R18
Run-flat vs conventional tyres
Some C-Class variants (especially W205 AMG Line and W206) come with run-flat tyres as standard. Run-flats allow you to drive up to 80 km at 80 km/h after a puncture — useful as many C-Class variants have no spare tyre.
The downside: run-flats have a stiffer ride and cost 30–50% more than equivalent conventional tyres. Many Malaysian C-Class owners switch to conventional tyres for improved ride comfort, accepting the need to carry a puncture repair kit.
