Mercedes-Benz C-Class ASSYST Plus Service Indicator Guide Malaysia
ASSYST Plus on W205/W206 adapts service intervals to your actual driving. The indicator shows days or km remaining. How to read it, reset it and what to do when it displays 'Service B' in Malaysia.

The ASSYST Plus service indicator on W205 and W206 C-Class is one of the most misunderstood features for Malaysian owners. Unlike a simple countdown clock, ASSYST Plus actively calculates when your car needs its next service based on how you actually drive.
How ASSYST Plus works
ASSYST Plus monitors: engine load and RPM profile, engine oil temperature, number of cold starts, fuel consumption and driving distance. City driving in Kuala Lumpur — with short trips, high idle time and frequent stop-start — will trigger a service sooner than highway driving.
Service A vs Service B — what's the difference?
- Service A (minor): engine oil change, oil filter, fluid level checks, tyre pressure check, dashboard reset. Typically triggered every 10,000–15,000 km for Malaysian drivers.
- Service B (major): everything in Service A plus brake fluid, cabin air filter, spark plug inspection/replacement, all fluid top-ups, full safety inspection. Typically every other Service A (20,000–30,000 km).
Important: ASSYST does NOT remind you about ATF
ASSYST Plus does not include a reminder for the 9G-Tronic ATF service. This is the most commonly missed maintenance item on Malaysian W205 C-Class vehicles. Set your own reminder to change ATF every 40,000–60,000 km.
