Mercedes-Benz C-Class Engine Mount Replacement Malaysia
C-Class engine mounts typically last 80,000–120,000 km in Malaysia's conditions. Worn mounts cause vibration at idle, clunking on acceleration and visible engine movement. Costs and diagnosis guide.

Engine mounts are the rubber-and-metal bushings that hold the engine in place and isolate its vibrations from the car body. When they fail, you'll notice it — especially on a C-Class where ride refinement is a key part of the ownership experience.
Symptoms of worn engine mounts
- Vibration felt through the steering wheel and floor at idle speed
- Clunking or thudding noise when accelerating or braking (engine rocking in the bay)
- Vibration at highway speeds when engine load changes (overtaking)
- Visible engine movement when shifting from P/N to D or R with AC on
Inspection and replacement
A simple visual inspection can reveal cracked or collapsed rubber on worn mounts. At 4M Car Care, a mount inspection takes 15–20 minutes and is usually done alongside other services at no extra charge.
C-Class typically has 2 main mounts and 1 transmission mount. Cost to replace all three: RM 600–1,000 including labour. W204 mounts are simpler; W205 hydraulic mounts cost more.
