Honda CR-V uses Honda Long Life Coolant (blue, 50/50 pre-mixed). The turbo adds heat stress to the cooling system — a degraded coolant can lead to overheating, especially in heavy KL traffic.
Coolant service guide
First replacement at 100,000 km, then every 60,000 km. Check level monthly. If coolant level keeps dropping without visible leaks, pressure-test the system — turbo boost can stress the hoses and thermostat housing. Do not mix with generic green coolant; always top up with Honda-spec blue coolant.
