N63 Plug Access — Labour-Intensive
The N63 V8 has 8 spark plugs — four on each bank — but access is complicated by the twin-turbo setup in the engine valley. The rear bank plugs require partial removal of the intake manifold to access. On the N63, budget RM 800–1,200 labour for spark plug replacement alone. This is another reason to keep oil changes at 10,000 km on the N63 — the longer oil intervals that BMW CBS suggests lead to carbon fouling that shortens plug life.
