BMW X4 Carbon Cleaning Malaysia
All X4 engines (N20, N55, B48, B58) are direct injection — carbon buildup at 60,000–80,000 km. N55/B58 6-cyl: RM 750–1,200 walnut blast. N20/B48 4-cyl: RM 650–1,000. KL stop-go traffic and xDrive idle-heavy wait = accelerated buildup. Recommend every 80,000 km.
X4 Carbon Buildup

Walnut Blasting in Malaysia — When and Why
Direct-injection engines like the N20/B48 (F26) or B48/B58 (G02) in the X4 cannot clean intake valves with fuel the way port-injected engines do. Carbon accumulates on the back of intake valves — typically 3–5mm thick by 80,000 km of KL city driving. Symptoms: rough idle, hesitation at low RPM, reduced fuel economy. Walnut blasting (media blasting with crushed walnut shells) removes the deposits without disassembling the head. At 4M Car Care this is done with the engine at operating temperature for best results.
