Case 1: XP150 CVT Judder — Fluid Neglect at 78,000 km
2016 Vios XP150 J. Complaint: shudder when pulling away, worse with A/C on. CVT fluid was dark brown — never changed in 78,000 km. Fix: full CVT flush with Toyota Genuine CVT Fluid TC (3 passes). Result: shudder completely resolved. Cost: RM 320.
Case 2: XP210 Weak A/C at 35,000 km — Blocked Cabin Filter
2021 Vios XP210 E. Complaint: A/C weaker than before, musty smell. Cabin filter completely black — never replaced. Evaporator clogged with mould. Fix: new cabin filter + evaporator chemical clean. Cost: RM 280. Cooling restored to near-new.
Case 3: XP90 Oil Leak at 120,000 km — Cam Cover Gasket
2011 Vios XP90. Oil stain growing under engine. Cam cover gasket hardened and cracked — classic high-mileage 1NZ-FE issue. Also found oil filter housing O-ring seeping. Fix: new cam cover gasket + O-ring. Cost: RM 180 (parts RM 80 + labour RM 100). Engine completely dry on collection.
