Sienta's sliding doors are one of its most distinctive and useful features — but they're also the source of the most workshop calls we get for Sienta. Malaysia's humidity, dust and heat cause sliding door mechanisms to degrade if not maintained.
Sliding Door Maintenance
- Lubrication every 20,000 km: spray the door rail and rollers with silicone lubricant — RM 50–80 at our workshop
- Door roller replacement (if door jumps track or makes grinding noise): RM 150–300 per door
- Manual sliding door version: clean the bottom track channel monthly — mud accumulates and prevents smooth operation
- Power sliding door fault code: don't attempt to force the door if it stalls mid-slide — this damages the motor gears
