Toyota Sienta A/C Not Cold Malaysia — Family MPV Diagnosis
7-seat MPV cabin needs strong A/C. Refrigerant, evaporator mould and faulty blower are the most common Sienta A/C problems.
Sienta A/C covers a 7-seat cabin — it works hard in Malaysian heat. The NHP170 hybrid uses an electric compressor (runs even in EV mode). Common causes: low refrigerant, clogged cabin filter, dirty evaporator.
A/C Diagnosis Steps
- Step 1: cabin filter change (RM 35–65) — blocked filter cuts airflow to all 3 rows
- Step 2: refrigerant top-up (RM 80–150) — check for leaks before refilling
- Step 3: evaporator chemical clean + rear vent check (RM 200–300) — rear rows often get less cool air from dirty evaporator
