2ZR-FXE uses 0W-20 SP full synthetic at 4.4L. Malaysia's heat is not a reason to switch to thicker oil — Toyota designed 0W-20 for tropical use.
Prius ZVW30 (1NZ-FXE) and ZVW50 (2ZR-FXE) both require 0W-20 fully synthetic. The Atkinson-cycle engines run at higher compression ratios and thinner oil reduces friction at the high-efficiency operating point.
