Timing Chain Warning Signs
- Rattling on cold start that disappears after warm-up: early chain stretch — inspect immediately
- P0016/P0017 codes: cam-crank correlation fault — timing chain or VVT-i actuator
- Timing chain replacement cost: RM 1,500–2,500 — much less than a belt-engine because no concurrent parts to replace
