Toyota C-HR Coolant Guide Malaysia — Two Coolant Loops
C-HR has engine coolant and a separate inverter coolant loop. Never mix them. First change at 5 years from factory.
C-HR Hybrid has two separate cooling circuits — one for the 2ZR-FXE petrol engine and one for the power electronics/inverter. Both use Toyota Super Long Life Coolant (pink OAT) but have separate reservoirs. Do not mix them.
Coolant Service
- Engine coolant change: every 4 years or 80,000 km — Toyota SLLC only
- Inverter coolant circuit: check level every 20,000 km — separate from engine coolant
- Coolant flush cost: RM 120–200 per circuit — budget for both if doing a major service
