The Toyota Harrier sold in Malaysia spans three generations: XU10/XU30 (1997–2013, rarely sold new in MY), XU60 (2013–2020, popular used import), and AXUH85 (2020+, current model). The AXUH85 uses the 2.0L M20A-FKS turbo or 2.5L A25A-FXS hybrid — the hybrid variant is significantly more fuel-efficient. Key notes for Malaysian buyers: the XU60 uses a 2GR-FE V6 with a 6-speed auto — reliable but fuel-thirsty; the AXUH85 M20A-FKS direct-injection turbo is prone to intake carbon buildup (clean every 50,000 km); hybrid AXUH85 inverter coolant must be flushed every 5 years.
