Subaru WRX Fuel Injector Service Malaysia
The FA20DIT direct injection system sprays fuel directly into the cylinder at high pressure — injectors can develop deposits over time, causing uneven fuel delivery and slight misfires under boost. Symptoms include rough idling, minor hesitation on acceleration, and a slight increase in fuel consumption. Injector cleaning using professional ultrasonic equipment or flow-bench testing is recommended at 80,000–100,000 km for high-mileage WRXs. Always use RON 97 fuel to keep combustion deposits lower and reduce injector tip fouling.

Subaru WRX Fuel Injector
- WRX FA20DIT injectors: direct injection; 4 high-pressure injectors spray directly into cylinder; injector deposits from DI are less common than port injection fouling — but injector tip deposits can form over time
- WRX injector cleaning: DI injectors on FA20DIT cleaned with chemical cleaner or ultrasonic; not as service-critical as port injectors; diagnose misfires with SSM4 cylinder balance test first; P030X codes indicate specific cylinder misfire
- WRX injector upgrade: for tuned WRX above 350 hp, stock DI injectors may max out; upgraded injectors with matched ECU tune required; consult tuner — DI injector sizing is critical for correct fuel delivery
- WRX carbon vs injector: rough idle on FA20DIT — do not replace injectors before checking for carbon buildup; carbon on intake valves causes rough idle more commonly than failed injectors; check fuel trim with SSM4 first
