Subaru WRX STI Suspension Service Malaysia
The WRX STI runs Bilstein dampers and a sport-tuned suspension setup from the factory. Malaysia's road conditions accelerate wear on shock absorbers and bushings. Inspect shocks for leaks and bushing condition every 30,000–40,000 km. Aftermarket coilover upgrades (BC Racing, KW) are popular, but ensure they are properly set up and aligned for Malaysian road use rather than pure track specification.

Subaru WRX STI Suspension Service
- STI suspension: Bilstein inverted front struts, rear multi-link with adjustable rear lateral links; stiffer than WRX; inspect at 60,000 km; performance suspension wears faster under track use
- STI Bilstein strut: OEM Bilstein dampers are high quality; last 80,000+ km with road use; if replaced, use quality aftermarket (Bilstein B8, Öhlins Road and Track) — do not use budget struts on STI
- STI rear lateral links: adjustable rear lateral links allow rear toe adjustment for track setups; if STI has been used on track, confirm rear toe setting is within road spec before street driving
- STI suspension noise: clunking over bumps on STI can be end links (stabiliser bar links), strut top mounts, or worn bushings; end links are wear items — replace at 60,000 km or when noise appears
