Subaru BRZ Transmission Fluid Service Malaysia
The Subaru BRZ is available with either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission. Manual gearbox fluid should be replaced every 40,000–60,000 km, more frequently for track or performance use. The 6AT automatic transmission fluid is critical for smooth shifts and longevity — replace every 40,000–60,000 km rather than waiting for a sealed-for-life interval. Using the correct Subaru-specified transmission fluid prevents premature wear in both gearbox types.

- 6-speed manual: Subaru Genuine MT Fluid or 75W-90 GL-4 — every 40,000 km
- 6AT (auto BRZ): Subaru SP-IV ATF — every 40,000 km
- Never use generic gear oil in the BRZ
