Subaru BRZ Engine Oil Guide Malaysia
The Subaru BRZ FA20 requires 0W-20 or 5W-30 fully synthetic engine oil with a capacity of approximately 4.5 litres. The ZD8 FA24 takes around 4.7 litres of 0W-20 or 5W-30 full synthetic. For normal Malaysian road use, change every 10,000 km; for spirited driving or track days shorten this to 5,000–7,500 km. Using quality fully synthetic oil is especially important for a high-revving naturally aspirated boxer engine.

- FA20 2.0L NA: 5W-30 or 0W-20 full synthetic, API SN — 5.3L
- Check oil every 2,000–3,000 km — FA20 gen 1 consumes more oil than average
- Change every 7,500–10,000 km
