Persona Punch CVT Fluid — Critical
The Proton Persona uses a Punch CVT (Belgian-made), NOT a Toyota or Honda CVT. Do NOT use Toyota WS, Honda HCF-2, or generic CVT fluid — the belt and pulley design requires Punch-specific fluid. Using wrong fluid causes belt slip, pulley corrosion, and eventual CVT failure (RM 4,000–8,000). Change every 40,000 km. If the CVT is shuddering, try a fluid change first before any teardown.
