Perodua Myvi Timing Chain (No Belt)

Perodua Myvi 3rd gen (2018+) NR-VE engine uses a timing CHAIN — not a rubber belt. The chain is designed to last the engine's lifetime with regular oil changes. There is NO scheduled timing belt replacement cost for the Myvi. If the chain develops a rattle on cold start, suspect the chain tensioner (requires oil pressure check and workshop inspection).
