Perodua Ativa Spare Parts Price Malaysia
Perodua Ativa · 2021–present
One of the most common questions we get at 4M Car Care is: 'Why is the part so expensive?' Understanding the difference between OEM, OES, and aftermarket parts helps you make the right decision for your budget and your car.
OEM vs OES vs Aftermarket — what do they mean?
- •OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) — the exact same part made by the same factory that supplied your car's assembly line. Highest quality, highest price.
- •OES (Original Equipment Supplier) — made by the same tier-1 supplier but sold under the supplier's brand rather than the car brand. Same quality as OEM, typically 20–40% cheaper.
- •Aftermarket — made by third-party manufacturers to varying quality standards. Can be excellent (Bosch, NGK, Brembo) or very poor. Price varies widely.
Price ranges for common parts in Malaysia (2024–2025)
- •Engine oil filter: RM 15–80 (national car vs European)
- •Brake pads (front, per axle): RM 80–450 (national car vs European performance)
- •Alternator (remanufactured OEM): RM 350–900 for most cars
- •Shock absorber (per unit, OEM): RM 200–800 (national car vs European)
Our parts policy at 4M Car Care
We use OEM or reputable OES parts for all repairs. We show you the part brand and price before installation — no hidden markups. For European cars, we source from authorised distributors: Meyle, LuK, Valeo, Sachs, Brembo. You are welcome to supply your own parts too.
