Ativa 1KR-VET 1.0T Turbo: 3.0L capacity. MUST use 0W-20 fully synthetic (Toyota/Daihatsu SN/SP spec). Do NOT use mineral or 5W-30. Turbo engine: change every 5,000 km. Malaysia RM 120–220.
The Ativa 1.0L DVVT Turbo MUST use 0W-20 fully synthetic engine oil. Perodua specifies Toyota/Daihatsu 0W-20 SN/SP or equivalent. Do NOT use mineral or semi-synthetic — the turbocharger bearings require full synthetic for proper lubrication, especially during cold starts. Change every 5,000 km (shorter than naturally aspirated engines due to turbo heat). Capacity: approximately 3.3L.
Ativa 1.0T Turbo Engine Oil Malaysia
The Ativa uses the turbocharged 1.0L 1KR-VET engine — this changes the oil requirements significantly. Use only 0W-20 fully synthetic (not 5W-30). Turbo engines run hotter and require better oil film strength — do not compromise on oil grade. Change every 5,000 km; turbo heat makes 10,000 km intervals risky. Let the engine cool 2–3 minutes before shutdown after highway driving to protect the turbo bearings.
