The Ativa 1.0L DVVT Turbo MUST use 0W-20 fully synthetic engine oil. Perodua specifies Toyota/Daihatsu 0W-20 SN/SP or equivalent. Do NOT use mineral or semi-synthetic — the turbocharger bearings require full synthetic for proper lubrication, especially during cold starts. Change every 5,000 km (shorter than naturally aspirated engines due to turbo heat). Capacity: approximately 3.3L.
