The Nissan Latio sold in Malaysia is the N17 generation (also known as Tiida in some markets), produced from 2007 to 2019. It replaced the older Nissan Sentra. The N17 received a facelift around 2014 with updated exterior styling and revised interior trim. The drivetrain (HR15DE + CVT) remained unchanged throughout production. Later variants added rear parking sensors and a slightly revised instrument cluster. All Malaysian N17s use the same engine and CVT — maintenance requirements are identical across the production run.
