Nissan Almera CVT Fluid Malaysia — NS-3 Guide
CVT fluid is THE most critical maintenance item on both Almera generations. Use Nissan NS-3 CVT fluid ONLY — generic ATF will damage the CVT. Change every 40,000 km. Both B17 and N18 Almera use Jatco CVT transmissions. Nissan NS-3 is the correct fluid for N18; B17 takes NS-2. Despite being listed as 'lifetime fill,' Malaysian workshops strongly recommend changing CVT fluid every 40,000 km given local traffic conditions. Signs of degraded CVT fluid include shudder, hesitation from stop, and slipping under load.
