Mitsubishi Outlander CVT Fluid Change Malaysia
The Outlander uses a CVT transmission requiring Mitsubishi CVTF J1 or J4 fluid — never substitute regular ATF, as this will destroy the CVT's steel belt and pulley system. The recommended change interval is every 40,000 km. Neglected CVT fluid is the single biggest cause of expensive Outlander transmission failures in Malaysia. Early symptoms of degraded fluid include shuddering under light acceleration and a slight hesitation when pulling away from a stop.
