Mitsubishi specifies fully synthetic 0W-20 or 5W-30 meeting API SN or SP standard — do not use conventional oil in these MIVEC engines. Change interval is every 10,000 km. In Malaysia's hot and stop-start urban traffic, many owners opt for 5W-30 for slightly better high-temperature film protection.
