GLA Alternator Guide
X156 GLA M270 and H247 GLA M260/M264 both use smart alternators with LIN bus communication. The H247 system is more integrated — alternator output data is shared with the battery management system (BMS) in real time. IBS sensor reset via XENTRY is mandatory after replacement on both generations.
