WR-V RV3 is a new model — oil leaks are not a current concern for most owners. However, any oil spots under a new WR-V should be investigated promptly, as they may indicate a warranty-covered manufacturing defect.
Future leak prevention
For future maintenance: the valve cover gasket and drain plug are the primary leak sources on this engine platform (same as City/BR-V). Use the correct drain plug torque at every oil change (30–35 Nm) — over-tightening damages the thread. Don't reuse a degraded drain plug washer. Valve cover gasket replacement (when needed): RM120–200.
