Case 1 — RV3 2023 with Honda Sensing alerts after minor front bump
Owner had a low-speed parking lot contact — no visible body damage. Shortly after, Honda Sensing started giving false forward collision warnings at low speed. Inspection revealed the front camera housing was slightly displaced (2 mm off-axis). Camera recalibrated at the workshop using Honda's calibration target. Sensing returned to normal. Cost: RM180 (calibration). Lesson: even minor front impacts can misalign Honda Sensing.
Case 2 — RV3 2024 with CVT shudder at 18,000 km
Owner noticed shudder between 20–40 km/h on light throttle. The car was only 18,000 km old. Investigation found that a previous service at another workshop had used a generic CVT fluid instead of Honda HCF-2. We drained the incorrect fluid and refilled with genuine HCF-2. Shudder was eliminated after one drive. Cost: RM260. Recommended: only use Honda HCF-2 and keep receipts to confirm — especially for a car still under warranty.
