Case 1 — TC10 2020 with CVT judder at 55,000 km
CVT fluid had been changed once at 25,000 km with a generic CVT fluid (not Honda HCF-2). Judder appeared at 55,000 km. We drained the incorrect fluid and refilled with genuine HCF-2. Judder reduced by 80% immediately; residual judder cleared after 500 km of driving. Total cost: RM340. Lesson: always use Honda HCF-2, not generic alternatives.
Case 2 — CP 2012 with valve cover oil leak at 130,000 km
Owner noticed burning oil smell and found minor seeping at the valve cover edge. Valve cover gasket replaced (RM220 including labour and gasket). While off, we found one VTC solenoid screen partially clogged — cleaned it at the same time. Post-service: no more oil smell, smoother idle. Combined cost: RM260.
